I'm not a field service technician, and I won't pretend to be one. I review commercial ice machines before they ship—roughly 300 units a year—and I have rejected units that would have turned into someone else's Saturday-morning service call.   • The unit powers on but does not make ice. This could be a mode switch left in Clean or Off, a water supply issue, or an active error code.

Write down the exact code and note whether it appears again after reset. Do not keep clearing codes and hoping.
